Dr. Amina Husain, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, cataract and refractive surgery, and general ophthalmology and dry eyes. She completed her undergraduate and medical school training in a combined 6-year BS/MD accelerated program, Northeast Ohio Medical University. She graduated summa cum laude. Dr. Husain then completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Medical Branch. After leaving the Houston area, she completed two fellowships at Duke University Medical Center. Her first fellowship was in oculofacial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery and her second fellowship was in refractive surgery. Dr. Husain has authored several research publications and lectured in oculoplastic surgery at surgical conferences. She has also completed several mission trips in Haiti, Mexico, and Honduras in cataract and eyelid surgeries.
